The concept behind this car is a machine built to reach the pinnacle. Developed to achieve unparalleled competitive power and exceptional reliability. the Javelin. a pure-play competition electric off-road car. was released in 1986 and is now being re-released as the sixth installment of the Vintage Series. more than 30 years later.
At the time. the Land Jump pioneered the 1/8 scale engine buggy world with its innovative aluminum pipe frame body. This stylish. lightweight resin pipe frame has evolved to a stunning level. featuring a highly refined double wishbone suspension. a narrow. backbone-style skid frame. a wide steering angle thanks to ideal geometry. and the Javelins signature feature: a sealed 4WD chain system housed in a compartment.
Of course. as with previous Vintage Series models. it has been refined to accommodate modern power sources. The drivetrains core gearbox employs a counter gear with a slipper mechanism. while the rear differential case. which bears the load. is made of metal for increased strength. The gear module is now 48-pitch. resulting in finer gearing and reduced drive loss. The use of nylon and sintered alloy materials improves drive efficiency and quieter operation.


The drivetrain is now available in two configurations: chain and belt. which was optional at the time. The aluminum dampers. which replicate the original design. have been enlarged for increased performance. Combined with the long-stroke suspension. they deliver superior driving stability. Rediscover the joy of off-road riding with the Javelin. which combines nostalgic style with the same mechanical features as the current model.


�� While faithfully recreating the original Javelin. each component has been upgraded to accommodate modern power sources.

�� The aluminum inner roll bar has been redesigned and made thicker. significantly improving durability.

�� The new wing stays are compatible with the Optima (some body cutting required).

��The rear wing. which generates high downforce. has been redesigned to be fixed to the chassis. The base parts also feature insert nuts for a more secure fit.
��In addition to the original pastel green and fluorescent yellow. the body and wing are also available in a new white option. Red and black are also scheduled for release (May 2018).
��The aluminum plate in front of the roll bar has been changed from a nylon belt to a screw-mounted one for a more stylish look.
��A simple yet highly rigid aluminum backbone chassis.
��Two drivetrain options are available: the all-time popular compartment 4WD chain system. or the 4WD belt system. which was later released as an option.
��FRP radio plate compatible with various manufacturers ESCs.
��The wheels retain the stylish original design while being made lighter by being made into one piece.
��Uses 18 full ball bearings (16 for chain models).
��Screws are primarily hex-type. providing secure tightening and ease of use.
��Includes a separate helmet and polycarbonate torso.
��The battery stay is compatible with a variety of current batteries and uses Velcro (a battery strap with a KYOSHO logo print is included) for easy battery attachment and removal.
