First released in 1986. the 1/10 scale EP (electric-powered) 2WD off-road Ultima represented a pinnacle achievement for Kyosho in the rapidly evolving R/C buggy scene. Incorporating state-of-the-art technology of the era. the Ultima delivered high performance immediately upon its debut. culminating in a spectacular 1-2-3 finish at the 1987 World Championship in the 2WD class. Now. the Ultima Pro—released in 1988 as the direct evolution of the original Ultima—returns as the 21st model in the Kyosho Vintage Series. While the original Ultima utilized a monocoque frame consisting of a U-shaped aluminum chassis and a resin upper deck. the Ultima Pro switched to a double-deck style combining a flat aluminum chassis with an FRP upper deck; this design achieved a balance between necessary rigidity and optimal flex characteristics. It also offered greater flexibility in the layout of R/C electronics and the battery. This structural design has been retained in the re-release. with further enhancements: the front lower suspension arms have been swapped for the long type found on the late-model Ultima Pro (introduced in 1989) to widen the track. and the wheelbase has been extended by 10mm compared to the late-model Ultima Pro to improve driving stability. The front and rear oil-filled dampers—crucial components for an off-road model—are the dial-adjustable Gold type. featuring specifications better suited for actual racing than those of the original Ultima Pro. FRP damper stays. designed specifically for the Ultima Pro. are equipped to handle the suspension loads. With the revival of the Ultima Pro—a model whose name means Ultimate in Japanese and which truly lived up to that title through its racing success—the world of the Kyosho Vintage Series gains even greater depth. �� The 21st release in the Kyosho Vintage Series revives the Ultima Pro. the culmination of the legendary Ultima series. It features modern updates based on the original model.
�� This model is a hybrid revival combining elements of the early version (released in 1988) and the long-wheelbase late version (introduced in 1989).
�� Equipped with a reissued body molded using the same original molds as the Ultima Pro.
�� Includes decals that allow you to recreate the packaging color scheme of the original (early) model.
�� Features a rigid frame construction utilizing a 6061 aluminum main chassis and an FRP upper deck.
�� Adopts dial-adjustable oil-filled shocks with the signature gold-anodized finish found on Kyoshos high-end buggies.
�� Uses double-wishbone suspension for excellent surface tracking; the front track width has been increased by 20mm (10mm per side).
�� Uses turnbuckle-style rods for easy and precise adjustment of settings such as camber and toe angles.
�� Equipped with 2.2-inch wheels to expand tire options; the rear wheels are compatible with Optima-series offsets.
�� Full ball-bearing specifications. including ball bearings in the servo saver.
�� Assembly kit; R/C electronics and power source must be purchased separately.
�� Flexible design supports shorty battery packs and allows for longitudinal battery mounting when using a low-profile servo. Technical Data
