Could the CVA damper transform into the ultimate damper?
What is the UC Damper?
It is a constant-volume damper where the internal capacity remains unchanged even as the piston moves.
In conventional dampers. the internal volume changes. and a diaphragm absorbs that fluctuation.
The UC Damper employs a design where the shaft passes all the way through the cylinder.
Since the amount of shaft inside the cylinder remains constant regardless of piston movement. the internal volume stays stable.
This eliminates the need for a diaphragm. resulting in simple. stable damping characteristics.
Benefits of the UC Damper
Easy to match damping across all four units
Performance is less affected by diaphragm assembly or rebound pressure; using the same oil and pistons makes it easy to achieve consistent damping characteristics across all four dampers.
Smooth and stable operation
The shaft is supported by O-rings at both the top and bottom. minimizing piston tilt.
With no contact between the piston and the cylinders inner wall. the damper operates smoothly with minimal binding.
Reduced wear and oil contamination
Minimal contact between the piston and the cylinder wall reduces inner wall wear and oil contamination.
This makes it easier to maintain stable damper performance over long periods.
Clearer differences in settings
With less structural inconsistency. changes in settings—such as oil viscosity or piston type—are more accurately reflected in the machines performance.
